Will a guard make my store feel unwelcoming?+
Only if they're the wrong officer. Ours are trained in customer service alongside security — they greet, help, and stay approachable while still controlling the door. If a visible presence doesn't suit your brand, plainclothes LP is the alternative.
Can your officers detain a shoplifter?+
Where the threshold under Section 494 is met, yes — but they're equally trained on when not to. A wrongful detention costs far more than the merchandise, so disengaging and documenting is often the right outcome.
How do you handle employee theft?+
Discreetly, and always coordinated with your HR process. Targeted observation, refund and void analysis, and documented findings you can act on — never accusations made on the floor.
We have cameras and EAS gates. Do we still need officers?+
Cameras record and gates announce, but neither intervenes. Most stores find their existing technology works far better once someone is responsible for responding to alarms and reviewing footage.
Can you cover multiple stores in different cities?+
Yes, under one agreement with a single account manager and the same reporting from each location. We staff directly across Ontario and Alberta.
How much does retail security cost?+
It depends on hours, posts, and whether you need uniformed or plainclothes officers. We'll assess the store and give you a costed plan — usually targeted hours during your actual loss periods rather than full-day coverage.
